S.N.A.P (Special Needs Adapted Program)

ARGOS Gymnastics is thrilled to present S.N.A.P, a program tailored for children with special needs. SNAP enables kids to engage in gymnastics within a safe and nurturing atmosphere. The program emphasises essential movement skills, customized for each gymnast. Our dedicated and certified coaches are committed to helping your child grow and reach goals you may have never imagined possible.

Neurodiversity

These classes are designed for children both diagnosed and undiagnosed with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Downs Syndrome, Genetic Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia, and other forms of neurodiversity.

Neurodiverse children thrive in our one-on-one classes, structured routines, coaching support, and caring staff. Our adaptive teaching methods enable our team to cater to each child's unique learning style, creating a fun-filled environment that fosters individual skill development. Our private sessions last for half an hour and take place in the early afternoon when the gym is quiet, allowing each gymnast to fully utilize the equipment.

Blind/Low Vision

Specialist classes for school aged gymnasts with vision impairment. We ensure a positive and supportive experience. No prior experience necessary.

Physical Disability

The disability gymnastics programme ensures that gymnastics is adapted to meet the needs of each gymnast. Through the program delivery, coaches can enable all phyically disabled gymnasts to achieve their full potential, focusing on what they can do, not on what they can't do. From fundamental movement activity to elite gymnastics skills, disability gymnastics has something exciting, fun and engaging for all disabled people to enjoy; it is also widely recognised as providing many physical and social benefits for participants, such as developing increased coordination skills and building confidence.

Here's what our SNAP Caregivers are saying:

" The ARGOS SNAP Program has been invaluable for my son. It is not only the highlight of his week, but he has gained so many skills in the almost 3 terms he has been doing it. Such a great inclusive program with an amazing coach. We are so grateful that this kind of program exists!" Katy, May 2025

"My son has benefited immensely from this program. His confidence has soared and he always feels so proud of what he achieves at each lesson. His mobility, balance and coordination has progressed greatly and he loves that he gets to do an activity (gymnastics) that he would normally have to miss out on. Coach Riley is very encouraging and skilled. A great mentor and teacher. Thanks so much." Natalie, May 2025

My son August has ASD. August has grown in confidence and is now exploring equipment in new ways and being exposed to realistic challenges based on his individual needs. He looks forward to coming and  it's nice to know he can consistently attend ARGOS gym every week. His teacher is patient and supports his wellbeing." Kimble-Lee, May 2025

"Thank you to the SNAP Program at ARGOS for the outstanding support provided to Emily. This personalised approach allows her to learn gymnastics skills at her own pace, while building confidence, strength, balance, and coordination in a truly nurturing environment. The progress she’s making is carrying over into her everyday life—significantly enhancing her ability to play, interact, and thrive alongside her peers. We’re incredibly grateful for the positive and lasting impact this programme is having." Sonya, May 2025
