COVID Level 2 Announcement
We are open! : )
To all our ARGOS Gymnastics Families,
In light of the news yesterday and Tauranga moving back to Alert Level 2 for the next 3 days we are getting in touch to let you know what we have in place to keep your children safe and social distancing while at ARGOS Gymnastics. ARGOS Gymnastics will remain open during this time.We are well practiced at Alert Level 2 having been there a few times already. There will be a few changes at the club for your next visit.The changes are:
• We ask that all parents (unless a preschool parent) please drop your child at our entrance door and collect them from the side door when it is time to pick up. You will appreciate our waiting area is small and we are complying with physical distancing measures. We will have entry and exit signs up if you are unsure where these doors are. Please comply with physical distancing measures while you are waiting to enter the gym, we will make this process as quick as we can. Please arrive on time for your class.
• We don't currently have more than 100 people in our Gymnastics lessons at any one time and gymnastics classes are groups of 10 or less. Your child will be kept with their class and physical distance from other classes in the gym at all times.
• On arrival your child will be checked in at the door by either Emma, (our office administrator), Steph (our centre manager), or one of the coaches. They will then either use the sanitiser or go to the bathroom to wash their hands. Emma will mark the register, and they will be sent to meet their coach. Our contact tracing is through our current database. Emma will ensure that we have all of your details correct in our database.
• We have our gym marked out into different areas and walking areas. Each class will be designated an area/apparatus for a time and will move single file in rotation in with the other groups when it is time to move to the next area/apparatus.
• During level 2 our coaching will be contactless so we have changed our lesson plans with this and your child’s safety in mind.
• The equipment that we are using will be cleaned after each session ready for the next group. There will also be hand sanitiser around the gym, at each apparatus, for use between rotations. The bathroom and any high touch areas will also be cleaned between sessions.
• As is the same as everywhere if anyone in your family or your child is unwell, or if you have been in Auckland over the last week, please do not come to class until they are well again.
• Our office will be open but the door will be closed, access will be through the glass window only. If you are able to email or phone your query in that would be the easiest way in level 2.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to meet the Alert Level 2 restrictions at the club.
